Rhodes Island maintains a Mediterranean climate of hot, sunny summers and mild winters. Maximum temperatures during the summer peak holiday periods can easily exceed 30°C in Mid July and August, with very little rainfall. The sea temperature remains pleasant throughout the summer season, in the mid 20s, starting to drop below this in November.

Autumn is short beginning mid October and lasting until November, temperatures during the autumn season normally remain above 20°C.

Winter in Rhodes, lasts from December though February. It is mild and wet, the winter climate more like spring in Northern European. Temperatures on the island rarely drop below 10°C, January and February being the coolest and wettest months. More than 60% of the island's annual rainfall occurs during this season, with January the wettest receiving on average 150mm of rain.
Spring is the ideal time to visit Rhodes, it is begins in March and lasting though May. During May the daytime temperatures can reach 25°C. with more than ten hours of sunshine.
