Rhodes International Airport

Located 14 km south west of the capital city Rhodes Town, in Paradisi, Rhodes (Diagoras) International Airport, is the third busiest airport in Greece, facilities have improved substantially since its opening in 1977, when it replaced Maritsa airport. The new terminal, opened in 2005, with improve services and facilities. The airport operates 24hr a day all year. Flight time from the UK to Rhodes is a little over 4 hours. The IATA airport code for Rhodes Airport is RHO.

Travel to Rhodes International Airport by road

The airport is well sign posted and is easily reached along the northwest coast, follow the signs for airportvia along coastal dual carriage way which encircles most of the island. The city of Rhodes is a 20-minute car drive to the northeast.
KTEL buses (tel: 22410 26300) to Rhodes Town depart weekdays every half hour, although less frequent at the weekend. The coach/bus stop is located to the left of door 1 of the arrival terminal, the journey time to Rhodes Town by bus is around 40 minutes.
Timetables to Rhodes Town and other destinations can be found at the airport's Tourist information desk, which is located near the arrivals section of the main terminal building. If you require any assistance arranging onwards travel by taxi or bus from the airport, speak to them, and they'll help..
The taxi rank is located outside the arrivals area of the passenger terminal. Taxi fares should be metered, but if the taxi has no meter, ensure that you agree a price to your destination before getting in.
